About the Artist
Barbara Petersen
I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to spend a great deal of my time in the Caribbean dividing my time between my two favorite islands; Bonaire and Cozumel. This has greatly influenced my artwork and explains why many of my paintings have a tropical theme. Through my work I hope to show my appreciation of the beauty I find in the islands both above and below the water. I work in acrylics, watercolor, pastel and mixed media and love to use all media and experiment with new techniques.
I am also an avid scuba diver and enjoy underwater photography. I see so many incredible things under the water and I attempt to share some of them through my artwork and photography. I am also the author of a children's book, "Come With Me...
